I’m in the same position you are, but I thought it was helpful because it helped me understand what big companies are thinking so I can work with them better.

i liked Nalts book but it was really not for me. the parts that were for me could have been in about 20 pages plus the ending part which is basically his eBook. i’m a creator and not a marketer.
a lot of the book is basically telling people in big companies how to get the others they work with to see the light and how to go about making online content once they do. great stuff… totally unrelated to my goals hahaha. still i net gained from it’s reading.
    😉

    haha It’s actually @CTFxC’s brand. :)

The closest I come to a call to action is asking the topic question at the start of the video. And annotations, I just link to my channel. I occasionally link to the previous video but most of the time I rely on the content stand on it’s on without tricks. I’ve found too that playing with your tags, titles and descriptions helps. One thing I found early is to try writing a title as if you were searching for something in google. If you nail it, it shows up in google results

Find a fandom to latch onto. Find something you really enjoy and occasionally make videos about or directed at those people. They will sub for those videos and then support your other stuff. It takes a while but after a while you get a good set of people… mine came just a few months ago when one of my rants went viral and again later when my pokemon video did the same (fandom). I don’t even use call to actions or annotations.

Product placement as a branding exercise. Interesting idea. I like it.

    Cool topic man.

Thanks for the support and checkin out the channel. Here’s what I’m trying to figure out though. I’ve heard the same thing from you and a few other people that I need to make content that would cause people to share it. I just don’t know what else I could change to generate more engagement as I make sure to ask questions, use annotations and call-to-action. Let me know if you’ve got any ideas man.

  9. csandreas says:

dude I subbed to you and I’ll say this, create stuff that people will want to share or will have a response to, no matter if you ask them a question or not. I’ve only been doing this a year but I joined reddit and they BLASTED my first few videos but now I can usually get a couple hundred views (I’ve gotten thousands) and quality comments by make my vids conversational (which you excel at).. I hope it helps. You deserve more views than you get for sure.
